Hockey Alberta and the Hockey Alberta Foundation partnered with HEROS Hockey out of Calgary for the 2019 Rinks to Links program. The group had the unique experience of a trip to the mountains on Tuesday, July 23 to the Silvertip Golf Course in Canmore, and the Canmore Recreation Centre. The day started with a bus trip to Canmore, where the kids hit the driving range and putting green at Silvertip, with a lesson from the course professionals. After lunch, the group travelled to the Canmore Recreation Centre, where they were treated to a tour of the Canmore Eagles’ dressing room before hitting the ice for a one-hour on-ice session, with instruction from Hockey Alberta staff, and numerous volunteers, including members of the Eagles coaching staff.
